Sharyland Utilities LP filed with the Texas Public Utility Commission on Aug. 28 a Generation Interconnection Agreement with Old Settler Wind LLC for the 150-MW Blanco Canyon Wind Farm, which has a projected in-service date of Sept. 30, 2016.
The filing says that Apex Clean Energy Holdings LLC is the sole member of Old Settler Wind LLC. The filing said this project will share interconnection facilities with Cotton Plains Wind I LLC and that this project is located in the Electric Reliability Council of Texas region. The scheduled commercial operation date for the Blanco Canyon Wind Farm is Dec. 31, 2016.
The facility will be located in Floyd County, Texas, and interconnect at Sharyland’s White River Substation. It would consist of 63 wind turbines at 2.4 MW apiece.
Sharyland on Aug. 28 separately filed with the Texas commission a GIA with Cotton Plains Wind I, which is also an Apex company, for a 50-MW project, also called the Blanco Canyon Wind Farm. This project is scheduled for commercial operation on Dec. 31, 2016, and would consist of 21 General Electric wind turbines at 2.4 MW each.
