Dangerous heat continues across parts of the Pacific Northwest

Unusually hot weather will persist through Friday afternoon across parts of the Pacific Northwest, with high temperatures in the 90s to around 100 degrees in many locations, according to the National Weather Service.

Heat Advisories and Excessive Heat Warnings are in effect across the region. The July 31 forecast calls for Portland to reach 100 degrees; Seattle to hit 91 degrees and Spokane 99 degrees.
