Slight risk of severe thunderstorms seen for parts of the Northeast

The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center expects a marginal risk of severe thunderstorms over a large portion of the country through Monday morning.

The best chance of strong storms is over much of Pennsylvania and portions of West Virginia, Ohio and Maryland. Large hail, damaging winds and even a tornado are possible.

Scattered severe storms with hail and wind are likely across much of Montana, eastern Idaho and the western Dakotas Monday afternoon and evening.
