PJM terminates interconnect deal for 17-MW Kingwood Solar project in New Jersey

PJM Interconnection notified the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on June 5 of the cancellation of an April 2014 Wholesale Market Participation Agreement with Kingwood Solar W3-149 LLC and transmission owner Jersey Central Power & Light for a 17-MW project.

“The Kingwood Solar WMPA is being cancelled because Kingwood Solar has decided not to move forward with its interconnection project and will not participate in PJM’s markets,” said PJM.

This agreement had covered the 17-MW Route 519 Solar Farm, to have been located at 259 County Road 519, Kingwood, New Jersey. This project was under PJM queue #W3-149.
