The National Weather Service (NWS) Storm Prediction Center has highlighted an area of Slight Risk for severe weather Monday across parts of southwest Texas and southeast New Mexico.
Large hail and damaging winds are the primary threats. Flash flooding is also a threat for portions of the southern Plains to the Lower Mississippi Valley. Showers and thunderstorms are shifting east across the eastern U.S. ahead of a well-defined cold front. Widespread showers and thunderstorms are forecast across the West.
