Severe thunderstorms will develop across the southern and central Great Plains on Friday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
Very large hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes are expected, especially across western Oklahoma. The NWS Storm Prediction Center has highlighted a Moderate Risk for the areas at greatest risk. Additional risk areas area highlighted from southwest Texas into the Midwest.
A brief tornado threat is possible along coastal areas of northeast South Carolina and North Carolina within the north and northeast quadrants of Subtropical Storm Ana.
