OCI Alamo 7 files Texas registration for 112-MW project

OCI Alamo 7 LLC on May 19 filed a registration as a power generator with the Public Utility Commission of Texas related to its plans for the 112-MW Paint Creek Solar photovoltaic project in Haskell County, Texas.

Incidentally, American Electric Power Service Corp., on behalf of its affiliate AEP Texas North Co. (TNC), filed on May 4 at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission a copy of a fully executed ERCOT Standard Generation Interconnection Agreement dated April 9 with OCI Alamo 7. It said this solar facility is planned to go into commercial operation by Dec. 31, 2016.

This is the latest in a series of such projects being developed by OCI Solar Power.

Also on May 19, OCI Alamo 6 LLC filed with the Texas commission a registration as a producer of renewable energy credits for its 116-MW West Texas Solar project. It said that project is due for commercial operation around April 15, 2016.
