NextEra affiliate seeks EWG status for 98-MW wind project in Oklahoma

Breckinridge Wind Project LLC, which is developing a wind farm in Oklahoma, on May 6 filed with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission a notice of self-certification of its status as an exempt wholesale generator.

This project company is a wholly-owned indirect subsidiary of NextEra Energy Resources LLC, which is part of NextEra Energy (NYSE: NEE). Breckinridge will own and operate a wind facility with 98.1 MW of aggregate nameplate capacity located in Garfield County, Oklahoma. The facility will operate within the Southwest Power Pool balancing authority area and interconnect with Oklahoma Gas & Electric.
