Heavy rainfall could lead to flooding across parts of southern Plains

Widespread rainfall, which could be moderate to heavy at times, is forecast to continue across parts of the southern Plains on Wednesday, mainly across Texas and Oklahoma, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

Numerous Flood Watches and Flash Flood Watches are in effect for this region.

After multiple days of unseasonably warm and humid weather for much of the eastern U.S., a cold front has finally reached the East Coast.  A welcomed change to cooler and less humid conditions is here through the end of the work week from the Midwest to the Carolinas and points north. Afternoon highs will be near normal with readings in the 60s and 70s, and comfortable overnight lows.
