FERC accepts interconnect deal for 82-MW Terrell County Solar project in Georgia

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on May 5 accepted a March 18 filing by Southern Company Services, as agent for various Southern Co. (NYSE: SO) utility subsidiaries, of an executed Large Generator Interconnection Agreement with Terrell County Solar LLC.

In January 2014, the project developer submitted an interconnection request to Southern to interconnect a solar photovoltaic (PV), inverter-based generator array. A diagram in the LGIA shows this is an 82-MW project that will interconnect into the Georgia Power system along the Americus-to-Dawson 115-kV line. The commercial operation target date is Nov. 1, 2016.
