Severe weather threat moves to the Gulf Coast on Monday

Severe weather will continue overnight for a large part of Texas before finally pushing east, according to the National Weather Service.

The areas with the greatest risk of severe weather on Monday will be along the western and central Gulf Coast where damaging winds will be the primary threat. In addition, heavy rainfall could lead to flash flooding potential.

Isolated strong storms are possible over south Florida.
