Severe weather risk continues Friday from the Gulf Coast into the central Plains

Severe weather is forecast on Friday from the Gulf Coast states into the central Plains, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

The Storm Prediction Center has an area of Slight Risk highlighted across this area with two embedded areas of Enhanced Risk: from the Mississippi border into north-central Texas and across the central Plains of Kansas and Missouri. Large to very large hail, damaging winds and tornadoes are all possible.
