A slow moving storm system will bring heavy rain to much of the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast on Monday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
The heaviest rainfall is expected from southwest Virginia to southern New England. In these areas, 1 to 2 inches of rainfall is possible by Monday evening.
Expect a large low pressure system over the Great Lakes with snow likely for parts of the Upper Midwest. Scattered rain and snow showers are forecast for the Rockies
