Unseasonably warm temperatures, fire danger cited in Central states; weather for the Northwest

High pressure will promote dry and seasonably mild conditions to start the week across the eastern U.S. into much of the South, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

Above normal temperatures will continue across much of the central Plains and Midwest with increased fire danger. Meanwhile, a series of weak disturbances and a cold front across the West Coast states and Great Basin will generate rainfall for the Pacific Northwest.
