Southern California Edison files interconnect deal for SunEdison project

Southern California Edison filed on March 18 at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission a Generator Interconnection Agreement for a generating facility interconnecting under a fast track process with SunEdison Utility Solutions LLC.

SunEdison applied to SCE to interconnect a 1.88 MW (net) solar photovoltaic facility named the 1990 S. Cucamonga Ave Project, to be located in Ontario, California. The project would interconnect to SCE’s 4-way gas switch on the Hose 12 kV distribution line out of the Firehouse 66/12 kV Substation and transmit energy to the California Independent System Operator-controlled grid. SunEdison proposes a commercial operation date of March 31, 2016, for the project.
