PJM works out new wholesale deal for 3-MW solar project in New Jersey

PJM Interconnection filed on March 18 at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission an executed Wholesale Market Participation Agreement with Augusta Solar Farm LLC and transmission owner Jersey Central Power & Light.

“PJM is submitting this WMPA for filing because Augusta intends to engage in wholesale sales in the PJM markets from a generating facility connected to JCP&L’s distribution facilities,” said PJM. This agreement supersedes a prior one from 2012 entered into among PJM, Green Energy Partners LLC and JCP&L. Green Energy Partners assigned its project to Augusta.

Under both the new and old versions of the agreement, on or before Dec. 31, 2014, the developer must demonstrate commercial operation of all generating units. The agreements cover the 3-MW Augusta Solar Farm, located at 99 Hampton House Road, Hampton Township, N.J.

A project contact is: Augusta Solar Farm, 31 Fairview Hill Road, Newton, NJ 07860, Attn: Scott Lewis.
