PJM terminates wholesale deal for 17-MW solar project in New Jersey

PJM Interconnection on March 18 notified the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission of the cancellation of a 2012 Wholesale Market Participant Agreement with Alethea Solar III LLC and transmission owner Jersey Central Power & Light.

“The Alethea WMPA is being cancelled because Alethea has decided not to move forward with its interconnection project and will not participate in PJM’s markets,” said PJM.

The agreement covered the 17-MW Stewartsville II Solar Farm, to have been located at 651 South Main Street Stewartsville, New Jersey. It had been due for commercial operation by the end of 2014.
