PJM files interconnect deal for 50-MW wind project in Illinois

PJM Interconnection on March 23 submitted to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission an executed Interconnection Service Agreement with Mendota Hills LLC and transmission owner Commonwealth Edison.

The Mendota Hills ISA facilitates the interconnection to the PJM transmission system of a 50.4-MW wind project located in Lee County, Illinois. The Mendota Hills ISA indicates that Mendota Hills gets an increase of 5.2 MW to the existing 0 MW of Capacity Interconnection Rights, resulting in a total of 5.2 MW.

Under PJM Queue Position #Z1-073, the Mendota Hills Wind Farm project consists of sixty three 0.8 MW Gamesa G52 Wind Turbines.
