MISO revises interconnect deal for 200-MW Odell Wind project in Minnesota

The Midcontinent Independent System Operator on March 25 filed with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission an Amended and Restated Generator Interconnection Agreement with Odell Wind Farm LLC and transmission owner Northern States Power.

MISO has designated this project as Project No. G826 in its interconnection queue. In October 2014, MISO filed the original interconnection agreement, which the commission accepted in December. This filing, among other things, amends that agreement to reflect that the Interconnection Studies associated with this project have been completed, making the interconnection agreement no longer provisional.

G826 is rated at 200 MW gross and 200 MW net, with all studies performed at or below these outputs. The facility is composed of 100 Vestas V100-2.0 wind turbines, nominally rated at 2.0 MW each. G826 is to connect at Northern States Power’s 345-kV Substation in Martin County, Minnesota. The commercial operation target date is Nov. 30, 2015.
