Wintry precipitation in South continues through midweek

A series of weather disturbances will bring rounds of wintry weather to parts of the southern and southeastern U.S. through Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

A wintry mix of snow, sleet, rain and freezing rain will be possible from the Gulf Coast to Carolinas through Tuesday, and then another round of wintry precipitation will overspread the same area on Wednesday.
