Southern California Ed files amended deals for 40-MW solar project

Southern California Edison filed with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on Feb. 5 an amended Clustering Large Generator Interconnection Agreement and amended Service Agreement for Wholesale Distribution Service with Windhub Solar LLC, which is developing a 40-MW project.

Among other things, the changes to the CLGIA put Windhub Solar on notice that the interconnection of the 40-MW Windhub Solar Project is dependent upon the completion of certain distribution upgrades which are not under the scope of the CLGIA but which are currently the cost responsibility of a project or projects ahead of the Windhub Solar Project in the interconnection queue. In July 2014, SCE and Windhub Solar entered into the CLGIA, and FERC accepted it in September of last year.

The project will interconnect to the grid at SCE’s 220 kV bus at the Windhub Substation. The target commercial operation date for the project is Oct. 31, 2016.
