
SolAmerica Energy LLC and Citizens Energy Corp. announced Feb. 4 the completion of four solar projects totaling 5.1 MW in various locations in the state of Georgia.
The projects are part of the Georgia Power Advanced Solar Initiative under which the Georgia Power subsidiary of Southern Co. (NYSE: SO) will purchase power generated from the projects under a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement.
The completed projects are:
- Taylor County Industrial Park, Butler, Ga., 1.8 MW, Ground Mount
- Cook County Farm, Lenox, Ga., 1.3 MW, Ground Mount
- Terrell County Industrial Park, Dawson, Ga., 1 MW, Ground Mount
- Goolsby Farm, Sasser, Ga., 1 MW, Ground Mount
SolAmerica developed and provided turnkey Engineering, Procurement and Construction services for the projects. Citizens Solar, a division of Citizens Energy Corp., financed and will own the four projects as part of a larger portfolio acquired in the state in 2014-2015.
