PJM looks at uprate for PBF Power facility in Delaware

PBF Power Marketing LLC has proposed a 10 MWC (0 MWE) uprate to Unit 6 at its existing facility located at the Delaware City Refining Co. in Delaware City, Delaware.

“As a result of the uprate, Unit 6 becomes a 90 MFO; 55 MWC resource,” said PJM Interconnection in a Combined Feasibility/System Impact Study Report on the project dated February 2015. “PJM studied [queue number] AA1-084 as a 10 MW injection into the Delmarva Power and Light system at the Reybold 138 kV substation and evaluated the project for compliance with reliability criteria for summer peak conditions in 2018. Point of Interconnection AA1-084 will interconnect with the Delmarva Power and Light (DPL) system through the existing Point of Interconnection.

The intent of the Combined Feasibility/System Impact Study is to determine a plan, with approximate cost and construction time estimates, to connect the subject power project to the PJM network at a location specified by the interconnection customer.
