Heavy snow and ice lingers in the Mid-South to Mid-Atlantic

An area of low pressure will continue to slide through the Southeast U.S early Tuesday bringing wintry weather to parts of the Mid-South through Mid-Atlantic, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

The heaviest snow will occur from Kentucky to the Mid-Atlantic where 6-12 inches are possible. Farther south, from Tennessee through North Carolina, ice will be the main threat. Precipitation will end from west to east Tuesday morning.
