FERC accepts interconnect deal for 80-MW North Carolina solar project

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on Feb. 10 accepted a Dec. 17 filing by PJM Interconnection of an executed interim interconnection service agreement with Conetoe II Solar LLC and transmission owner Virginia Electric and Power.

The Conetoe Interim ISA facilitates the interconnection to the PJM transmission system of an 80-MW project; the Conetoe II Solar Park located on NC Hwy 42 East in Conetoe, N.C. Under this interim deal, Virginia Electric and Power, which does business in North Carolina as Dominion North Carolina Power, must by Oct. 31, 2015, complete all transmission owner interconnection facilities.

PJM submitted the Conetoe Interim ISA for filing because it contains language that does not conform to the form of ISA set forth in Attachment O-1 of the PJM Open Access Transmission Tariff.

A project developer contact listed in the interim ISA is: Conetoe II Solar LLC, 192 Raceway Drive, Mooresville, NC 28117, Attn: Kenny Habul.
