Baffin Wind looks for March 31 commercial start on Texas project

Baffin Wind LLC, which is developing a 202-MW project and is an affiliate of Iberdrola Renewables LLC, on Feb. 24 filed a renewable energy registration with the Texas Public Utilities Commission.

Its project is now known as the Baffin wind farm, and was formerly known as the Penascal III project. It is made up of 101 of the Gamesa G97 wind turbine model, which have a capacity of 2 MW each. The project is due for commercial operation around March 31 of this year. The project is located in Kennedy County, Texas.
