PJM works out wholesale deal for 12-MW gas project in Virginia

PJM Interconnection filed with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on Jan. 22 an executed Wholesale Market Participation Agreement with HP Hood LLC and transmission owner Potomac Edison for a small, gas-fired power project.

“PJM is submitting this Agreement for filing because HP intends to engage in wholesale sales in the PJM markets from a generating facility connected to Potomac’s distribution facilities,” PJM noted. Under this deal, on or before March 30, 2015, HP Hood must demonstrate commercial sale or use of energy.

The project is the HP Hood Generation Facility, located at 160 Hood Way, Winchester, Virginia. It is a 12-MW, single gas-fired turbine generator set and associated auxiliary equipment and systems.

Project contact information is: Dennis McNutt, HP Hood LLC, 160 Hood Way, Winchester, VA 22602.
