NextEra’s Goshen Wind project in Ontario about to spin into operation

Goshen Wind LP, based in Canada, on Jan. 13 notified the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission of its status as a foreign utility company (FUCO) related to a wind power project in Ontario.

Goshen Wind is a limited partnership under the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. It will own and operate an approximately 120-MW wind facility located in Huron County, Ontario, that is expected to commence operations at the end of this month. Goshen Wind is a wholly-owned, indirect subsidiary of NextEra Energy Resources LLC, which in turn is a wholly-owned, indirect subsidiary of NextEra Energy (NYSE: NEE) out of Florida.
