FERC accepts wholesale deal by PJM with 8-MW solar project developer

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on Jan. 29 accepted a Dec. 11 filing by PJM Interconnection of an executed Wholesale Market Participation Agreement with Millstone Solar LLC and transmission owner Jersey Central Power & Light.

“PJM is submitting this Agreement for filing because Millstone intends to engage in wholesale sales in the PJM markets from a generating facility connected to JCPL’s distribution facilities,” said PJM in the Dec. 11 filing.

The Millstone Solar Farm will be located on Trenton Lakewood Road in Upper Freehold, New Jersey. This 8-MW facility will include photovoltaic DC solar panels connected to DC to AC inverters, connected to step-up 34.5-kV high-side transformers. Under the agreement, on or before Dec. 31, 2016, Millstone Solar must demonstrate commercial operation of all generating units.

Project contact information is: Millstone Solar LLC, Three Radnor Corporate Center, 100 Matsonford Road, Suite 300, Radnor, PA 19087, Thomas J. Toffey, Manager.
