Clipper system to bring light snowfall accumulations to Northern Tier, Great Lakes

As conditions improve across the Northeast, a fast-moving clipper system will bring light snow accumulations, with some localized freezing rain, to portions of the northern Plains into the Great Lakes through Tuesday morning, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

Forecasts are calling for accumulations of 1 to 3 inches of snow and less than one-hundredth of an inch of ice, NWS said Jan. 19.
