Sierra Solar Greenworks to produce test power in April at California project

Sierra Solar Greenworks LLC, which is building a 20-MW (ac) project in California, on Dec. 3 filed with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission a notice of self-certification as an Exempt Wholesale Generator.

The company owns and will operate a 20-MW (ac) solar photovoltaic facility that is under development in the City of Lancaster, California. The facility will be interconnected to the Antelope Substation on Southern California Edison’s system that is located within the California Independent System Operator balancing authority area. The facility has an executed power purchase agreement with Southern California Edison for all of the facility’s gross output. The facility is expected to begin generating test energy in April 2015. 

Applicant’s sole member is FTP Power LLC, a Delaware limited liability company.
