PJM Interconnection filed with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on Dec. 18 an executed Wholesale Market Participation Agreement with solar project developer Marina Energy LLC and transmission owner Jersey Central Power & Light.
“PJM is submitting this WMPA for filing because Marina Energy intends to engage in wholesale sales in the PJM markets from a generating facility connected to JCPL’s distribution facilities,” PJM noted. This replaces an April 2012 WMPA with original project developer ITA Inc.
The agreement covers the Frankford Solar Farm, to be located at 124 Meyer Road, Frankford, New Jersey. This is a 10-MW, ground-mounted, inverter-based, solar photovoltaic facility consisting of solar arrays and a 34-kV collector system.
On or before Dec. 31, 2014, Marina Energy under this deal must demonstrate commercial operation of all generating units, which is unchanged from the original version of this agreement.
