FERC accepts interconnect deal for 100-MW Georgia solar project

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on Dec. 31 accepted a Nov. 10 filing by Southern Company Services of an executed Large Generator Interconnection Agreement with Georgia SNF Development 1 LLC for a 100-MW (net) solar photovoltaic project.

The project will interconnect to the Georgia Power system to the IC-291 Interconnecting Substation on the Waynesboro Primary-to-Wilson 230-kV line. The scheduled commercial operation date is July 1, 2016.
