Central Maine Power works on interconnection for 100-MW wind project

Central Maine Power filed with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on Dec. 5 an executed Engineering and Procurement Agreement with Atlantic Wind LLC, which is planning to construct the 100-MW, 50-turbine Fletcher Mountain Wind Farm in Concord and Lexington Townships in Somerset County, Maine.

Atlantic Wind has requested generation interconnection service for the wind farm under Schedule 22 of the ISO New England Open Access Transmission Tariff. Atlantic Wind hasrequested that CMP begin certain engineering and procurement activities. CMP and Atlantic Wind have agreed to the scope of the engineering and procurement services, the terms and conditions of which are set forth in the E&P Agreement. The project would interconnect at the Wyman Hydro 115-kV Substation.

“Atlantic Wind is a subsidiary of Iberdrola Renewables, Inc.,” the filing noted. “Atlantic Wind and CMP are both indirect subsidiaries of Iberdrola USA and Iberdrola S.A.
