211-MW Texas wind project due for commercial ops in December

The General Electric turbines at the 211-MW Stephens Ranch Wind Energy LLC project are all due for commercial operation around Dec. 8 of this year, said a renewable energy registration that the company filed Oct. 7 at the Texas Public Utilities Commission.

The facility, made up of GE Model 1.7-100 turbines, is located at O’Donnell, Texas, and interconnects at the Long Draw Substation. A map in the filing indicates that there will be another phase to this project that will be subject to a separate registration filing.
