Southern California had the highest reported spot power price at $49.86/MWh, down 7% from the area’s prior business day.
The Midwest had the lowest price at $32.45/MWh, or 8% lower than the prior business day.
Regional spot natural gas prices ranged from $2.61/mmBtu in the Mid-Atlantic to $4.57/mmBtu in Northern California.
Nymex energy futures prices for September delivery of natural gas and coal were listed at $3.97/mmBtu and $60.03/ton respectively.
