TX Jumbo Road Wind files EWG notice on 300-MW wind project

Due to an informal request by the staff of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, TX Jumbo Road Wind LLC filed an amended version of a recent notice of self-certification of exempt wholesale generator status.

Jumbo Road is developing and constructing a 300-MW wind generating facility located in Castro and Deaf Smith counties, Texas, that will be interconnected to the transmission system owned by Sharyland Utilities LP and operated by the Electric Reliability Council of Texas. The facility is expected to begin generating test energy in January 2015.

The entire output of the facility is committed to the City of Austin d/b/a Austin Energy under a long-term power purchase agreement.

Jumbo Road is an indirect, wholly owned subsidiary of MidAmerican Renewables LLC, which is a direct, wholly-owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway Energy.
