Severe thunderstorms possible from the Ozarks to lower Great Lakes

Severe thunderstorms capable of producing large hail and damaging wind will be possible on Tuesday across a large area stretching from northern Arkansas to Upstate New York.

Meanwhile, rainfall will finally diminish in the Midwest, but runoff from previous heavy rain will bring rises to many rivers, including the Mississippi.

Tropical storm conditions are forecast off the coast of Florida. The tropical depression is being tracked by the National Weather Service’s (NWS) National Hurricane Center in Miami. A tropical storm watch is in effect for the East Coast of Florida from Fort Pierce to Flagler Beach.

New England should be hot today. Boston is forecast to see a high of 91 degrees F.
