PJM terminates wholesale deal for 17-MW N.J. solar project

PJM Interconnection on July 15 notified the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission of the cancellation of a Wholesale Market Participant Agreement (WMPA) entered into among PJM, Syncarpha Plumstead LLC and transmission owner Jersey Central Power & Light.

The Syncarpha WMPA was originally filed with the commission in June 2012. “The Syncarpha WMPA is being cancelled because Syncarpha has decided not to move forward with its interconnection project and will not participate in PJM’s markets,” said the PJM notice.

The WMPA covered the Polizzi Solar Farm project, located at 81 Jacobstown Road, New Egypt, N.J. It was to have a maximum facility output of 17 MW.
