PJM files interconnect deal for 371-MW Calpine project

PJM Interconnection on July 31 filed with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission an executed interconnection service agreement (ISA) for a 371-MW power project of Calpine Mid-Atlantic Development LLC.

The ISA is between PJM, Calpine Mid-Atlantic Development and transmission owner Atlantic City Electric. The Calpine ISA facilitates the interconnection to the PJM system of 371 MW at a facility located in Pennsville, N.J. The Calpine ISA indicates that Calpine shall have Capacity Interconnection Rights in the amount of 371 MW.

This ISA covers the Deepwater facility, located at 373 North Broadway in Pennsville. It is a natural gas-fueled combined-cycle facility arranged in a 1×1 configuration. On or before June 1, 2017, Calpine must demonstrate commercial operation of these generating units.

PJM studied this project, with queue #W3-175, as a 371-MW injection into the Atlantic City Electric system at the Churchtown 230-kV substation.

The project contact is: Calpine Mid-Atlantic Development LLC, 717 Texas Avenue, Suite 1000, Houston, TX 77002, Attn: Mr. Champe Fisher.
