MISO files construction deal for 150-MW Border Winds project

The Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) on July 18 filed with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission an unexecuted Facilities Construction Agreement (FCA) with Border Winds Energy LLC and transmission owner Otter Tail Power.

The agreement covers grid-related improvements to be made to support Border Winds Energy’s 150-MW generating facility, to be located in Rolette County, N.D. The wind project has an expected Commercial Operation Date of Oct. 15, 2015.
