New York City had the highest reported spot power price at $68.03/MWh, or about 18% lower than the prior business day.
The Northwest had the lowest price at $34.00/MWh, which was unchanged from the day before.
Regional spot natural gas prices ranged from $3.10/mmBtu in the Mid-Atlantic to $4.99/mmBtu in Northern California.
Nymex energy futures prices for August delivery of natural gas and coal were listed at $4.36/mmBtu and $61.20/ton respectively. Both gas and coal were down.
