New York City had the highest reported spot power price at $82.65/MWh, or 27% higher than the prior business day.
The Northwest had the lowest price at $34.00/MWh, or 28% lower than the prior business day.
Four of the 10 regions did not have prices posted for July 2.
Regional spot natural gas prices ranged from $3.89/mmBtu in the Mid-Atlantic to $5.02/mmBtu in Northern California.
Nymex energy futures prices for August delivery of natural gas and coal were listed at $4.46/mmBtu and $61.60/ton respectively.
