Summit Wind Energy pursues 201-MW Texas wind project

The Mesquite Creek Wind LLC affiliate of Summit Wind Energy Inc. on June 24 filed with the Texas Public Utility Commission a certification form for a 200.6-MW (nameplate) wind project, called the Mesquite Creek Wind Project.

The project would use 118 General Electric 1.7 MW-100 wind turbines. The commercial operation date is April 11, 2015.
