PJM revises wholesale deal for 10-MW New Jersey solar project

PJM Interconnection on June 23 filed with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission a revised Wholesale Market Participation Agreement with the developer of a 10-MW solar project in New Jersey.

This WMPA revises and supersedes a 2012 agreement between PJM, Moncada NJ Solar 201 LLC and transmission owner Jersey Central Power & Light.

The deal covers the 10-MW Broadway Solar Farm project, located at 110 Good Springs Road, Broadway, N.J. The project consists of photovoltaic solar panels connected to inverters in 500 kW groups. Twenty inverters are connected to a single 13.2kV/34.5kV step up transformer.

Under the WMPA, on or before Sept. 1, 2014, the developer must demonstrate commercial operation of all generating units.

The developer contact is: Moncada NJ Solar 201 LLC, 771 Shrewsbury Avenue, Shrewsbury, NJ 07702, Attn: Elliot Shanley.
