PJM works out interconnection deal for Covanta Warren plant

PJM Interconnection on May 14 filed at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission an executed interconnection service agreement among PJM, Covanta Warren Energy Resource Co. LP and Jersey Central Power & Light.

The Covanta Warren ISA facilitates the interconnection to the PJM transmission system of 11 MW (Maximum Facility Output) at the Covanta Warren Facility located in Oxford, N.J. The ISA indicates that Covanta Warren has capacity interconnection rights (CIRs) of 10 MW.

The Covanta Warren facility is located at 218 Mount Pisgah Avenue in Oxford. The ISA notes that a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) between Jersey Central Power & Light and Covanta Warren was to expire on April 30, 2014.
