PJM files agreement for 18-MW New Jersey solar project

PJM Interconnection on May 19 filed with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission an executed Wholesale Market Participation Agreement between PJM, Pemberton Solar W1-119 LLC and transmission owner Jersey Central Power & Light.

“PJM is submitting this WMPA for filing because Pemberton Solar intends to engage in wholesale sales in the PJM markets from a generating facility connected to JCPL’s distribution facilities,” said the filing.

The agreement covers the Greenburg Solar facility, located on Birmingham-Arney’s Mount Road in Pemberton Township, N.J. The maximum facility output is 18 MW. The project consists of photovoltaic solar panels connected to thirty-six 500kW SMA America Inverters (or equivalent).

Under the agreement, on or before Dec. 31, 2013, Pemberton Solar must have demonstrated commercial sale or use of energy.
