PacifiCorp does power purchase deal with juwi solar affiliate

PacifiCorp d/b/a Rocky Mountain Power applied April 18 at the Utah Public Service Commission for an order approving a Power Purchase Agreement between it and Pavant Solar LLC.

Under the agreement, Pavant Solar represents itself to be a qualifying facility, and agrees to provide PacifiCorp, upon request, with evidence to show its qualifying facility status.

The agreement provides for the sale to PacifiCorp of energy to be generated by Pavant Solar, from a photovoltaic facility located in Millard County, Utah. The agreement is for a term of 20 years from the Commercial Operation Date. The scheduled Commercial Operation Date is Dec. 31, 2015.

The project’s capacity rating is redacted from the public versions of the application and PPA. But under the PPA, the term “Expected Energy” means 125,652 MWh of net output per year measured at the Point of Delivery, which is seller’s best estimate of the projected long-term average annual net output production. PacifiCorp acknowledges that solar exposure is a variable resource and that the facility’s actual annual output of net output in the ordinary course in any given year will be subject to variation caused by differences in the actual solar exposure at the facility from year to year.

The developer contact is: Pavant Solar LLC, c/o juwi solar Inc., 1805 29th Street, Suite 2054, Boulder, Colorado 80301, Attn: Director, Project Management and Engineering, Telefacsimile (303) 442-1981.
