EDP Renewables advances 60-MW wind project in Maryland

PJM Interconnection on March 13 filed with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission an executed interconnection service agreement (ISA) among PJM, EDP Renewables North America LLC and transmission owner Pennsylvania Electric for a 60-MW wind project in Maryland.

The EDP Renewables ISA facilitates the interconnection to the PJM transmission system of a 60-MW generating facility located in Garrett County, Md. The ISA indicates that EDP Renewables shall have Capacity Interconnection Rights in the amount of 7.8 MW. This is the Winding Ridge Wind Farm project, to consist of 30 Vestas V110 2.0 MW wind turbines. This project has PJM queue position #Y1-003.

Under the ISA, on or before Oct. 31, 2017, EDP Renewables must demonstrate commercial operation of all generating units.
