Blizzard conditions possible in parts of the northern Plains

A strengthening low pressure will move into the northern Plains bringing heavy snow and strong winds to the area on Monday, March 31, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

The hardest hit areas are expected to be from southeast Montana to northern Minnesota. In these areas, travel conditions will be very dangerous. Snowfall accumulations are expected to range from 10 to 20 inches with wind gust approaching 50 mph, NWS said.
